I think this is one of the weirdest (yet oddly fascinating) things I've come across in a while...
At first glance, I thought these were amazing ice sculptures...and couldn't figure out how that was even possible. Boy was I wrong! They are actually sculptures made of packing tape, created by artist Marc Jenkins. After exploring his website a little bit, I came across this and was literally laughing out loud:
"The following is a DIY for making cast-based tape sculptures. It's the process I use to make the tape people and in the spirit of propagating the race and wasting tape I've decided to teach the technique". (excerpt from Mark Jenkins' website)
All I can say is, Wow...

I would literally pee my pants if I came across the one of the people in the woods. Am I the only one who finds that one really creepy? There certainly are some fascinating uses for tape out there. Very creative and interesting!
It is a little creepy...reminds me of this movie that Rob made back in high school (based on Halloween)...I also find the wrapping of a doll in tape a little disturbing but the end result is pretty cool!
Wow! This is so interesting! Thanks for sharing!
ok, that's just crazy. I totally thought they were ice sculptures until you went on to let us in on the truth.
Well, different is what makes the world go round:)
WOW!, fantastic, thanks for this great post....
Thanks for commenting all! I'm glad you found it as interesting as I did!
Amazing, thanks for sharing these pics
Yeah, I've seen those sculptures a couple of different places now, and they are definitely odd!
Great blog by the way! I love your use of your Etsy Mini on the sidebar.
I have NEVER seen anything like this before. Thanks for finding it and posting it. These are one of the oddest things ever. Hey and thanks for the inspiration to do the flick find. (that is what made me want to do my schnauzer pics from Flickr) and I totally forgot to give you props for it! XOXO
